It's All About DC Pride in June
/Special happenings, foods and celebrations for PRIDE month in DC

Finally, after two years, Capital PRIDE will back in full swing this year with a calendar jam-packed with events and happenings this June 2022 in DC, and this weekend you can join the LGBTQ+ community for the return of the historic Capital Pride Parade. The parade will kick off at 3:00 pm at T Street & 14th Street NW and end just outside Dupont Circle. Organizers have said it may be one of the largest Pride Parades ever, with a large block party happening along the parade route. The Capital Pride Block Party will have local performers, DJs and two beverage gardens along 17th Street, with DJ provided music (and dancing!) from 12pm -3pm, to be followed from 3pm – 10pm with local entertainment.
Meanwhile, at the Wharf, on Saturday, June 11 from 2-9 pm, Pride on the Pier will be happening followed by Pride Fireworks at the Wharf at 9 pm.

Astro Doughnuts says “Happy Pride Month DC” with these rainbow doughnuts available this weekend at their G Street and Falls Church locations. A percentage of all proceeds with go to the local nonprofit @smyal_dmv. You can pre-order a batch for your own celebration by ordering online with a pickup time for 6/11 or 6/12.
Pizzeria Paradiso’s Dupont Circle location is celebrating Pride Week with a special Pride drink menu. From now until June 12th, the restaurant will feature pours and canned beers from local, queer-owned breweries & distilleries. The full selection includes DC Brau Pride Pilsner, which will be offered between June 10th-12th with 100% of sales benefitting SMYAL, a non-profit committed to creating opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth and The Blade Foundation, an organization whose mission is to fund LGBTQ+ journalism projects.
Paradiso’s Dupont location will also have a special Pride Weekend Flight over DC Pride weekend. For $14, guests can enjoy 8 oz. pours of one Denizens beer of their choice, one Red Bear Brewing beer of their choice, and ANXO’s Pride Cider. Additionally, on June 11th, the restaurant will offer a Pride Parade Special in honor of the return of D.C.’s historic Capital Pride Parade. For $10, guests can enjoy their choice of any Pride draft or can along with a shot of Civic Pride Vodka.
Bourbon Steak is offering Pride Pops. Bartender Engidawork Alebachew has created boozy, frozen Pride Pops. Each pop is $13 and a portion of the proceeds will go to Worthy Mentoring, a non-profit supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Pride pop flavors are: Casamigos Reposado Tequila with Strawberry, Lime, Grapefruit Juice and Appleton Rum with Coconut, Lemon, Orange Juice.
Republic Restoratives Distillery, DC’s small batch, women-owned, LGBTQ-owned distillery and craft cocktail bar in Ivy City has announced it is bringing back its popular “Civic Pride” Vodka for Pride Month. The limited edition bottles, featuring the Progress Pride Flag and will go on sale on Thursday, June 9. Proceeds will benefit Whitman-Walker Health, DC's community health organization specializing in healthcare for LGBTQ communities and those living with HIV/AIDS. DC Brau keeps the party going this Saturday, June 11th with the WERQ Pride Party & Drag Show at DC Brau. From 3 - 6 PM, guests will gather in the DC Brau Beer Garden and enjoy performances by DC’s fiercest Divas & Queens. Guests can purchase stickers on Eventbrite for $15, with each ticket including a can of Pride Pils.
Little Acre Flowers, DC’s all local florist, is celebrating Pride month this June with a limited edition bouquet called quite aptly, Rainbow Connection. And, you can enjoy the rainbow assortment of all-local blooms while benefiting DC’s local LGBTQ+ community. Proceeds from the sale of the Rainbow Connection, available all throughout the month of June, will go directly to benefit Whitman-Walker Institute, one of our favorite DC-based, community-centered organizations committed to advancing social justice and equality through health. KNEAD, the largest LGBTQ+ owned company in the DMV area is proud to be sponsoring this year's DC Front Runners (DCFR) Pride Run 5K, taking place Friday June 10th at 7PM. This year's race proceeds will benefit local LGBTQ and disenfranchised youth organizations, including the Team DC Student-Athlete Scholarship, Wanda Alston Foundation, Casa Ruby, Teens Run DC, Blade Foundation, Ainsley's Angels of America (National Capital Region) and SMYAL. KNEAD is also introducing an exclusive PRIDE month cocktail at all KNEAD Hospitality + Design restaurants, The Unicorn Spritz, made with Tito’s Vodka, Señora Curaçao Blue Curacao, lemon verbena, fresh squeezed lemon, Peychaud bitters, club soda, pearl dust. The cocktail will be available through the whole month of June,and proceeds will be donated to the Trevor Project, focusing on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.
