It’s never been easier to live in a city and eat like a farmer. In the District, we are spoiled year-round by the many farmers markets that celebrate the bounty of regional cuisine.
But if your schedule, the need for social distancing or just lack of convenience has kept you away from the markets, there’s another way to connect with farmers from the comfort of your home — let them bring the farm to you.
CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, is a system that connects farmers with consumers more directlyby circumventing the grocery store. It’s essentially a subscription service for produce, meats, dairy and even flowers and pet food (!) delivered straight from the farm to your door.
The money you pay upfront supports the harvest of that farm for the entire year. You could think of it like a down payment on your health; invest in your farmer, and eat healthier all year. (Not to mention that eating local reduces your carbon footprint.)

Liberty Delight Farms
Liberty Delight Farms is an all-natural meat farm located in Reisterstown, MD. Our family-owned farm grows beef, pork, chicken, rabbit, and we have lamb and turkey. No antibiotics, steroids, stimulants, or hormones are introduced to the animals. Our popular CSA or Meat Share includes a curated selection of meats; changing monthly. It includes 15 # pounds of meat. 5 pounds of beef, pork, and poultry. This package does not allow for any substitutions, however we do take special orders for custom boxes. All of our products are flash frozen, USDA inspected, in individual packages for quality, and transported with care. Liberty Delight Farms Share is available for HOME DELIVERY, at our farm MEAT MARKET or we can arrange for it to be picked up at our farmers markets around the area. LoudounGo is a local online shopping site offering customers in MD, DC and NoVA with delivery and pick-up options for farms, wineries, breweries, restaurant and food vendors, and retail businesses owners local to Loudoun County, VA.

FRESHFARM Market Share
Join the FRESHFARM Market Share! Similar to a CSA, the Market Share aggregates products from farmers at FRESHFARM farmers markets, giving you the best the region has to offer each week. Signups open May 1st, and distribution begins May 26th. The Market Share will be available at 3 locations: Wednesday Columbia Heights Farmers Market, Thursday Ballston Farmers Market, and a Tuesday morning northern DC market (details to come).
Enjoy a diversity of produce with our CSA featuring our farm & regional farms. Choose from weekly or biweekly pickups from June 2 to October 27. Pick up at our Farm Market on Wednesdays 3:30 - 6:30 pm with additional produce, meat, and dairy available for purchase on a pay-what-you-can model. Our Farm Market is located outside our urban farm in LeDroit Park at 300 V St NW, Washington, DC.
