Published quarterly in time with the seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter) and available for free throughout the Washington metro area or by subscription, Edible DC focuses on the farmers, growers, fishers, home cooks, chefs and others who energize our culinary community. We are passionate about educating, supporting, and telling the stories that make this community so unique.

Meet the Team

Susan Able – Publisher and Editor in Chief. Susan grew up in Indiana where she was in 4H and competed in baking, BBQ and dog obedience. She lived in Boston and Rhode Island for a long time where she was a nonprofit executive, writer and built butterfly gardens. She now lives in DC and Annapolis, still builds habitats for pollinators and visits as many farm markets in the DMV as she can.

AJ Dronkers – Associate Publisher & Digital Editor for EdibleDC Magazine. AJ grew up in the wine business in California and has always had a passion for cooking, food, wine, and the environment. You can keep up with him on instagram @aj_dc. 


Patricia Graves Masi - Advertising Director for EdibleDC Magazine. A graduate of the University of Maryland and a DC native, she is a regular at the farm markets with her husband, daughters and chocolate lab Ryder. 


Jennifer Chase - Creative Director and Assistant Editor for EdibleDC. Jennifer’s photography work has allowed her to photograph food and drink stories around the world — a job that comes with some very delicious benefits.  When she’s home you can find her in the kitchen with her husband and 3 kids or enjoying an Aperol Spritz on her front porch.  Follow along on her instagram @thejenchase
