HRC Hosts "Love Blooms" with Chefs Eric Bruner-Yang and Marcelle Afram

April 27th online class features Chefs Erik Bruner-Yang and Marcelle Afram

Celebrate Spring and and support HRC Greater Washington DC buy joining in a cherry blossom-inspired virtual cooking class led by local Chefs Erik Bruner-Yang and Marcelle Afram.

Merging their Tawainese, Japanese, and Palestinian cooking styles, Chefs Erik and Marcelle will lead a three-course menu for two comprised of traditional Japanese Onigiri, scallion pancakes with sour cherry romanesco, and homemade cannoli for dessert. 

Participants will receive a custom meal-kit with ingredients and tools needed for the virtual cooking class. Event proceeds go towards HRC’s work to achieve equality for all LGBTQ+ people.

The menu is vegetarian and meal-kit serves two. Meal-kit pickup is in-person at Maketto, 1351 H St. NE, Washington DC on Monday, April 26th. Further pickup instructions will be sent via email prior to the event. The event is virtual and the Zoom link will be sent via email the week of the event. Note that if you are a person with a disability, or are otherwise unable to pick up your meal-kit, you can email zack.hasychak@hrc.org for alternate arrangements.

Tickets are $40.00, including the meal-kit serving two, and all proceeds go towards HRC’s work to ensure equality for all LGTBQ+ people.
