7 Places for Easter Brunch in Washington, DC

Let’s face it... securing a reservation for Easter Sunday brunch is no easy feat. Like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, you’re up against limited options due to the sheer volume of people dining out.
Luckily there are a few places in DC where you can still secure a last-minute reservation. These places offer up farm-to-table freshness and even have some festive celebrations for the kids.
We here at Edible DC certainly won’t be sleeping in on Easter Sunday — find us at one of these brunch options across the DMV.

BLT Steak
Downtown DC
The newly redesigned BLT Steak D.C. reopened earlier this spring and will be offering its seasonal a-la-carte menu with a variety of specials on Easter Sunday. Prepared by Executive Chef Michael Bonk, guests can look forward to menu specials showcasing seasonal, American classics. Featured plates include the spring pea vichyssoise with fiddlehead ferns, radish, and hen of the woods or risotto with asparagus, basil, lemon zest, and parmesan, priced at $17.
For mains try the Lobster Benedict with butter-poached Maine lobster, served over a puff pastry or the American wagyu burger with caramelized onions, gruyere, and smoked bone marrow aioli. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 and reservations are available on OpenTable.
Spanish Diner
Bethesda, Maryland
In Bethesda, Chef José Andrés has debuted an egg and jamon-centric menu that riffs off American diner specials with some Spanish flare. It’s an easy and accessible option with both indoor and outdoor patio seating for Easter Brunch. For the holiday, Spanish Diner will be opening early at 9 a.m. and featuring a traditional Spanish dish for that day "Torrijas" priced at $8 a plate. It is Spanish-style French toast served with cinnamon sugar and Asturian honey. Reservations are still available on OpenTable.
Trummer’s
Clifton, Virginia
On Sunday, April 17th, Trummer’s on Main in Clifton, Virginia will offer a special Easter menu available during lunch and dinner. For $78 per person, guests can enjoy Chef Daniel Perron’s spring-inspired three-course menu featuring seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Dishes include the Strawberry Gazpacho (pictured above), Elysian Fields Lamb served with braised chickpeas, a honey-baked ham with whipped Yukon gold potatoes, and an heirloom carrot tagliatelle with braised rabbit, English peas, and Benton’s bacon. The restaurant is seating guests between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Reservations are still available on OpenTable.
Via Sophia
Downtown DC
Via Sophia is a beloved, authentic Italian osteria in downtown DC serving a special three-course pre-fixe menu from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Easter Sunday at a reasonably priced $49 per person and $19 for children under 12.
Hotel guests and DC locals can celebrate over a carefully curated menu of favorites from Executive Chef Colin Clark, including Eggs Benedict with prosciutto, spinach, rosemary hollandaise, and a side of crispy potatoes. Or steak frites served with crispy russets, maitre d butter, garlic aioli.
There will also be an Easter Bunny visit and an Easter egg hunt in the hotel lobby for restaurant guests, taking place at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
All Set Restaurant & Bar
Silver Spring, Maryland
For an Easter at-home option, this downtown Silver Spring restaurant offers a family-style feast for Easter that includes your choice of smoked short ribs, lemon rosemary chicken, or a garlic-crusted lamb rack.
Each family meal is priced at $150 per meal for four and will additionally include Chef Ed Reavis’s famous skillet cornbread, smashed potatoes, garlic string beans, and chocolate whoopie pies along with reheating instructions. All Easter pre-orders must be placed by Wednesday, April 13th, and picked up at the restaurant on Saturday, April 16th. Limited delivery will be available for an additional fee.
The Roost
Capitol Hill
The Roost is a new and buzzy culinary clubhouse that caters to families with massive amounts of indoor and outdoor space. Best of all, the vendors found inside, which include HiFi Taco, Red Apron, Cameo Coffee, and Shelter Beer, can all be ordered from an app directly to your table — making it an awesome way to avoid food hall queues.
On Easter Sunday at noon, The Roost will host a special Easter egg hunt for all children. Easter eggs are filled with all sorts of goodies for the little ones and a very special visit from the Easter bunny as well.
Theismann’s
Old Town Alexandria, Virginia
Hop on over to Theismann’s and give your family a magical morning in the charm of Old Town Alexandria with Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. The celebration is taking place on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All children get to meet the Easter Bunny and capture the moment with a photo.
The event also includes an easter egg hunt and make-your-own Easter Basket. Adults can enjoy a brunch menu including mimosas or Bloody Marys paired with deviled Easter eggs, yogurt parfait, and French toast. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
