Edible DC has gone digital for our Summer 2020 issue. COVID-19 restrictions hit us hard in many ways, not only a tremendous loss in revenue, but also gathering restrictions and sheltering-in-place made it hard to produce a magazine that showcases local talent and producers, and made it really hard to even ponder doing print distribution.

So we are thrilled that it has all come together in a gorgeous issue, you must check out the photography, as always we are proud to have Jennifer Chase as our creative director and lead photographer. And many thanks to a dedicated team of hard-working contributors and our own home team, Patricia Masi, Brenda West and our summer interns, Matt Yan and Annalise Morrone.

We hope that you enjoy perusing and ask you not to miss:

  • Award-winning tomato recipes from Bonnie Benwick

  • A shortcake recipe that from Zoe Ezrailson that is as beautiful as it is delicious

  • Your complete guide to selecting and finding the right CSA for you

  • An in-depth interview with 4PFood’s Tom McDougall who is leading the charge to solve food supply chain breakdowns and help make our DMV residents less food insecure

  • An important, from-the-heart essay by Anela Malik on Food, Politics & Being Black

  • Our award-nominated Buzz Columnist Tim Ebner on some of the best cocktails-to-go around

And more, there is always more!

And as always, thank you for your support.
