Get on it! Some of the most popular places will sell out early, many have early deadlines. While we may not be able to have lovely get togethers with family and friends for Passover and Easter, why not treat ourselves to a wonderful meal? Sharing some great ideas today, including the new program from Ice Cream Jubiliee that will provide donated ice cream to health care workers and first responders. We’ll be sharing some of our top recipes for a spring feast tomorrow from our archives. Enjoy.
Albi | This is a “go time” for people who love lamb, and Albi is on it. Roast leg of lamb, shawarma-spiced potatoes, whipped turmeric labne, brown butter knafeh, and za'atar bagels are among the Levantine-inspired, family-style dishes that can be gracing your table this Easter. Anxo Cider | Sold out quickly of their Passover Popups—but they still have Kosher Cider, Prescription Chicken’s Matzo Ball soup and macaroons available for delivery. Check out their menu here.
Central Farm Markets & Gepetto Catering | These two have partnered on grocery delivery that will bring you home delivery of produce and proteins, including fresh eggs, pasta sauce, duck and wild salmon, pickles, olive oil and all types of fruits and greens. You can also order Gepetto’s also prepared meals. Orders are being taken between 9 am Tuesday, April 7, and 3 pm, April 8. Fiola Mare has a 4-Course Dinner for Two | $99 plus tax Grilled Spring Asparagus, Black Truffle Fonduta Bucatini, Lobster all’Amatriciana, 8-Bone Whole Rack of Cumin Roasted Spring Lamb, Artichoke Scafata, Rosemary Jus, Casserole of Peas, Prosciutto & Mint, Italian Colomba (Easter Dove) Cake. The Four Seasons Hotel | The Four Seasons has a special pickup Easter Brunch at Home created by Executive Chef, Sebastien Giannini, available for pick up in portions from 1 person to 12 people for $65 per person. A portion of the proceeds from every menu sold will go to MedStar Washington Hospital Center. The menu includes favorites from Seasons and BOURBON STEAK with an Amuse Bouche of smoked duck tartlet accompanied by a savoury mango chutney. Scottish style smoked Salmon, lemon cream, pickled cucumber and grilled lemon as an appetizer, followed by a Bourbon Steak Ribeye accompanied by truffle potato mousseline. Dessert is a a white chocolate and seasonal fruit tartelette. Reservations for Four Seasons Brunch at Home must be made before 5pm on Friday, April 10th by calling Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC at 202 342 0444. Pick up is available on the front drive of the hotel from 10am on Sunday April 12th.
Gravitas | Ivy CIty’s Michelin-starred restaurant has options for Passover and Easter, each a dinner for two for $90. The Passover menu includes Latkes with Apple Sauce and Horseradish Cream, Smoked Salmon Salad or Matzah Ball Soup, a choice of brisket, whole branzino or a half roasted chicken, Haroset and Gefilte Fish and Chocolate Mousse with Almond Cookies. The Easter Menu has deviled eggs, Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Salad or Ham and Splitpea Soup, slow roasted lamb, a whole roasted branzino or a half roasted chicken, with sides of whipped potatoes, roasted baby carrots and toasted farro. The Grill | Choose from wood fired steak selections and more for Easter celebrations from one of the newest restaurants at The Wharf. You can order cooked meals and sides, and even grocery items and top quality butchery items as well. I Ricchi | Celebrating Festa di Pasqua with a 4-Course Dinner plus an Easter Treat | $49/person. Including burrata with grilled zucchini ribbons, buffalo burrata, parsley breadcrumbs, balsamic reduction, Ravioli di Funghi, Filetto al Pepe Verde, roasted rosemary potatoes, sweet peas and prosciutto and a Torta di Formaggio, a cheesecake with marscapone cheese and strawberries. Ice Cream Jubilee | Ice cream! DC Stores are opening for carry-out and delivery ice cream pints, bake-at-home cookie dough, and sundae packages. The Yards and T Street Locations are re-opening this Thursday, April 9 and will be open Thursday through Saturday, 12pm–9pm For those who cannot come to the store, Ice Cream Jubilee is offering home-delivery inside the beltway, and pick up of six of their best-selling seasonal flavors, including Strawberry Tres Leches, Gin & Tonic sorbet (vegan), Chocolate Matzoh Crunch, Lemon Muffintop, Nats Red Velvet, and Citrus Sichuan Peppercorn. Joselito | Offering a family style menu for Easter, a 7-course meal and a bottle of wine or sangria. $50/person and the menu is Spanish-style Tuna Salad, Codfish Fritters, Chicken Pate, Mushroom Crepe with Truffle Infused Egg Yolk, Fisherman’s Seafood Rice, Soy Marinated Duck Breast with Creamy Mushroom Rice and Arugula and traditional Spanish bread pudding. Lansdowne Resort | Take a Sunday drive to Leesburg for a pick up of a whole family meal for 4 or larger at Lansdowne Resort which Executive Chef Marcus Repp will be serving up either a Roasted Rack of New Zealand Lamb or Double Bacon-Wrapped Filet of Beef with two sides to include classics such as gratin dauphinoise, roasted veggies, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, Boston Bibb salad with orange segments, almonds and chive yogurt dressing. La Prima Catering/Catering by Seasons | La Prima Catering has an Easter package menu that feeds 5 people and includes Glazed Ham with Honey & Orange, Potato Gratin Layered with Gruyere & Parmesan, Carrot Soufflé, Baby Spinach Salad with Strawberries, Cucumbers, Pecans & White Balsamic Vinaigrette, Cherry Cream Cheese Tart or Chocolate Fudge Rum Cake (*The desserts for the "serves up to 5" size are half cakes.) 5 guests | $115.99 (to double the amount, add $84). Instructions for reheating included. Packages include all food delivered cold, with re-heating instructions. Oak Steakhouse Alexandria | The steak house is offering an Easter at Home menu with a selection of family-style packages and a la carte items like steaks, entrées, and appetizers, available for curbside pickup from Thursday, April 9th through Sunday, April 12th from 4pm to 7pm. Osteria Morini | Osteria Morini will be celebrating the Easter holiday with a three-course family-style dinner for two for $75, $37 for each additional person, to include dishes such as Agnello, roasted lamb with lamb jus, Prosciutto Cotto, ham with red wine agrodolce, and Anatra, confit duck legs with strawberry mostarda. Sides will be included and dessert from Chef Tova Hillman, Torta al Limone, lemon olive oil cake, strawberry, and lemon crema. Petite Loulou Parisian Crêperie, Purcellville, Virginia | The showstopper here is the Cadbury Egg Croissant. At Petite Loulou, Chef Stefano Frigerio is adding Cadbury Egg Croissants to the Parisian crêperie’s repertoire of hand rolled and unique viennoiseries. The Cadbury Egg Croissant is $5 and will be available until 4/5. The Cadbury Egg Croissant can also be ordered online and picked up in the restaurant. Petite Loulou is located at 713 E. Seven Reasons | One of DC’s top new places has sold out of their pickup brunch, so order early for their Easter special which includes a “Pack for 2” which has a salmon croissant, a pastrami sandwich, a Seven Reasons Waygu burger, corn pancakes, truffle steak fries, a gofeado (sugar cane roll) and a chocolate roll. $40. Shilling Canning Company | The Easter special here is $45 per person - available for Sunday April 12th includes roasted prime rib, yorkshire pudding, local vegetables, spring greens salad from their garden, duchess potatoes and fresh baked cookies.
