FRESHFARM Feast – The “Don’t Miss Event of the Fall” Just Gets Better!

Our Top 5 Reasons You Need to Be at Dock 5 on October 18!

By the Edible DC Team, Proud Media Sponsor of FRESHFARM Market’s Farmland Feast

With a new venue and a farm-focused format, FRESHFARM's annual gala is going to be the shindig of the season. The event, previously known as the Farmland Feast and now FRESHFARM Feast, will shine the spotlight brightly on our region's farmers on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 while partygoers drink, dine and jam with DC’s top chefs and mixologists. And of course, Team Edible DC!

If supporting a non-profit which is one of the most important leaders and catalysts for healthy, local eating for all isn’t enough, here’s our Top 5 reasons to buy a ticket today!:

1.     The Dabney’s Jeramiah Langhorne, 2Birds 1 Stone’s Adam Bernbach, Woodberry Kitchen’s Spike Gherjde Centrolina’s Amy Brandwein—top talent backs this food and drinks program that makes this event tops.

2.     Farmers and local producers are the stars of the show This year chef will be paired with a specific farmer and every dish--from small bites to the main course--will be designed to highlight farmers and what they grow. And another first you can't miss--all the booze at the event is made by producers who can now sell at the FRESHFARM markets. Yay!

3.     Two words: Music and martinis? Get your toes tapping with spirited banjo and bluegrass from Chuck Darwin and The Knuckle Draggers while you visit the new Martini Bar!

4.     The live auction items are astounding and this year’s highlight is a personal market tour with Chef José Andres and a paella dinner at his home. This year's live auction is the best ever, with new food and travel packages. Don't miss a chance to bid on a food and art lover's trip to Venice, Italy or a week in Paradise Valley, Montana, frolicking in and around Yellowstone National Park.

5.     Vegetable lovers rejoice! On trend with farm market shoppers and conscious eating fans, this year, the Feast cuisine will be much more vegetable-focused than in years past.

Join in the fun. The evening kicks off at 6 pm with cocktails, all crafted from locally distilled spirits, and seasonal small bites, followed by a seated dinner served family style. Individual tickets are $350 ($200 is tax deductible), and to cultivate the next generation of supporters, FRESHFARM there are a limited number of tickets available to guests under the age of 30 tickets for $175. All revenue from the Feast supports FRESHFARM and its philanthropic and charitable mission.
