Crafty Bastards

  • Lot A at The Yards Park Washington, DC (map)

Washington, D.C.’s long-time favorite showcase of creative artists, Craft Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair, will put down stakes at The Capitol Riverfront in southeast D.C. on Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28, 2018. The outdoor fair will be held under its signature tents this year in Lot A at The Yards Park adjacent to the baseball stadium (between First Street and New Jersey Avenue along M Street SE).

“Both the maker community at large and Crafty Bastards have grown exponentially over the past 15 years since the first fair in Adams Morgan, and this year’s festival is expected to be the biggest and best one yet,” says festival curator Virginia Arrisueño. “We’re excited to feature hundreds of incredibly talented artists over the weekend who will be selling their singular jewelry, fashion, artwork, household goods, toys, prepared foods, furniture and more.”

Artists and artisans who wish to participate in this year’s festival can submit an application via the website (www.craftybastardsdc.com) through September 14. Tickets and a complete vendor gallery will be available online in late September.

Since 2003, The Washington City Paper has been supporting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of artists through its annual Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair, which has been recognized by BizBash and other industry leaders as one of the top art fairs in the country.
