John Coleman, Balducci’s Wine and Cheese Buyer, resident cheese expert, and inductee to the Guilde Internationale des Fromagers New World Chapter, has assembled an extraordinary and curated collection of his favorite cheesemakers and cheeses from around the world for a weekend of tastings across select Balducci’s stores on October 26, 2019 from 12 noon – 4 p.m.
Selected cheeses include Pecorino Romano Fulvi, the only Pecorino Romano made outside of Rome, Oregon’s legendary Rogue River Blue, and the Wrangeback, originally created by Swedish monks in 1225. “Coming from Sweden, this is one of the oldest cheeses in the world and it is an honor to continue the tradition,” John Coleman says. “I look forward to curating the collection for this event every year — it’s so much fun pulling out my favorites from around the world for customers to taste.”
