Building on the success of recent collaborations combining food and art, including a Kokedama class with The Lemon Collective, Toki Underground will host Marcella Kriebel for an “Art You Can Eat” watercolor workshop inspired by a Japanese meal on Sunday, January 21st. Marcella is a DC-based food illustrator, artist, and cookbook author known for her watercolor pieces of recipes and dishes. She has created a special graphic featuring a Toki Underground dish for guests to practice watercolors on. Guests will learn basic watercolor techniques from Marcella while enjoying bites from Toki Underground including homemade dumplings and pickles. The class will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Toki Underground, located at 1234 H St NE.
Tickets cost $75 each, and include all supplies and food, and can be purchased here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/art-you-can-eat-a-food-focused-watercolor-workshop-tickets-41708062939?aff=efbeventtix
