A Celebration of Multicultural Storytelling

LightReel is a multi-day film festival in Washington, DC, celebrating Black and multicultural storytellers through film screenings, live conversations, and cultural events. Hosted in the Union Market district, DC’s most vibrant and evolving neighborhoods, LightReel brings film, culture, and community together in this dynamic urban setting. This year’s fest is June 3-6. New this year is Food on Film, a panel co-presented by Edible DC Magazine. We’ll be discussing the unforgettable experience of food on film, inspired by Tampopo, Blade Runner, KPop Demon Hunters, Chef, that famous Lady and the Tramp spaghetti kiss, and other favorite scenes. We’re celebrating the noodles that feed our love of film.

The panel will take place at Songbyrd in Union Market (150–200 capacity) on Friday, June 5, 3:00pm.
