August is here, which means it’s officially the dog days of summer! To combat the arrival of heat and the end of summer blues, Franklin Hall is partnering with City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties to host a ‘Dog Days of Summer’ dog adoption event on Sunday, August 11th from 1-3pm. Prospective dog owners will have the opportunity to meet and greet dogs eligible for adoption on Franklin Hall’s patio and enjoy drink specials that benefit City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties, one of the city’s preeminent organizations rescuing adoptable cats and dogs from overcrowded and high-kill shelters. On tap for the event will be four specialty beers from Flying Dog Brewing and a $5 Salty Dog cocktail (vodka, grapefruit juice and a slated rim). Dog lovers that are unable to make the event are invited to drink at Franklin Hall the following week and enjoy pours from the four special Flying Dog lines until they run out! 10% of those proceeds and those raised during The Dog Days of Summer event will be donated to City Dog Rescue & City Kitties.
